Overview

SiTime is a leader in MEMS-based timing solutions, dedicated to solving the most challenging timing problems. Despite its innovative offerings, the SiTime website struggled with a dated design, clunky navigation, and limited messaging, which failed to reflect the company's cutting-edge technology and vision. I spearheaded the redesign of the SiTime website, transforming it from a basic product catalog into a modern, feature-rich platform with robust tools for engineering customers, investors, and internal stakeholders.

Challenges and Objectives

The original website faced several key challenges, including an outdated, non-responsive design that lacked modern appeal, limited messaging that failed to showcase SiTime's technological leadership, and poor navigation with clunky search tools. Additionally, it offered few resources or tools to engage users and guide them to products effectively.

To address these challenges, the redesign focused on three primary goals. First, it aimed to educate users by highlighting the benefits of MEMS technology and positioning SiTime as a trusted industry authority. Second, it sought to galvanize interest by showcasing the innovation and brilliance of SiTime’s technology and engineering team. Finally, the redesign prioritized guiding users with intuitive tools that would help them easily discover the products they needed for their design projects.

Solution

To address the challenges and meet project goals, we implemented several key solutions. First, we introduced a responsive, modern design that is visually compelling and ensures a seamless user experience across devices. An intuitive navigation system was developed to enable effortless exploration of product categories and resources. The most transformative improvement was the complete overhaul of the parametric search tool. Previously a cumbersome, spreadsheet-driven process, it was rebuilt as a fully cloud-based solution. This redesign required translating vast amounts of product specifications and variables into a user-friendly interface, addressing complex usability and data visualization needs. The new tool allows users to filter solutions by application and product attributes, significantly enhancing functionality and usability for engineers and internal stakeholders.
